Home Office Must Haves for 2022

If 2020 has taught us anything, it’s that we can work from literally anywhere at anytime. Many of us are finding ways to create a work space right in our home. I’m sharing my home office must haves for 2022.

A home office is absolutely necessary when it comes to working remotely. Coming from the girl who is writing this in her bed 😉 I know, I know, I’m breaking my own rules. My home office will be done in just a few short weeks, so I’m sharing what I have and item must-haves to keep this creativity flowing.

Home Office Desk

I’ve worked from home for a few years, having a large desk is essential. I’ve tried the L-shape desks and they just feel cramped and typically not enough room for notebooks and papers. My husband and I invested in matching Pottery Barn Writing Desks. This desk is absolutely beautiful. The Seadrift color is so natural and stunning, the neutral color can pair with really anything. The desk top is is 64″ long and 32″ wide, giving you plenty of space for your laptop (or 3 computer monitors in my husbands case) and notebooks.

Amazon listed this home office desk as a bestseller. It comes in a variety of sizes (40, 47, 55 and 63 inches) and has the industrial look to it. This would be great for a home office with a touch of masculinity. I love the compartment on the side of the desk for extra papers and storage.

If you are looking to really invest in a large home office desk set-up, Wayfair has a great option in their Charlton Home Collection. This corner desk is durable, L-shaped, and has great organization for cords and decor.

Home Office Chairs

The Manchester Upholstered Desk Chair is absolutely stunning. This chair matches perfectly with the Printers Writing Desk listed above. I love the upholstery and it’s so comfortable. The nailhead accents are beautiful and the neutral color really let’s you get creative with your other decor. Can you tell I’m a PB fan?! 😉

Pottery Barn Home Office Chairs

If you’re looking for a chair with a high back, my husband has this one and he loves it. I think it’s sleek and modern, my husband is 6’3 and can sit comfortably in it. The chair fits great underneath the PB printers desk and has a reclining position as well. Big bang for your buck in my opinion!

Office Storage & Organization

The item I’m most excited about for my new home office is this amazing Acrylic Modular Wall Organization. It is SO dreamy! So sleek and simple, I can collaborate my schedule, the kids and my husbands all on the large calendar. The pinboard will be great for inspiration and ideas! The pieces are listed and you can create a custom organization system for your entire household.

And of course, our desk needs to stay (somewhat) clean. A huge home office must-have is a desktop file organizer. You can grab this one from Amazon, along with a cute planner like this! You can never have too many planners in my opinion!

Office Decor

I think we can all agree that having music on while we work, keeps the juices flowing for creativity. Hell, I’m listening to a little Mumford & Sons right now. I do love having music play through my Spotify playlist, but not necessarily coming from my laptop. I have this JBL Bluetooth Speaker for the corner of my office. Perfect to set aside and have the tunes play while I blog.

A lot of times my home office can get drafty and I get a chill. I love keeping a blanket on the back of my chair so I can grab it and drape over my legs. This faux fur blanket is so fun and cozy and better yet, looks great in any room!
